Maximum number of workplaces, minimum construction interventions. Conversion, restoration and expansion of Orell-Füssli-Hof and Bärenhof, Bahnhofstrasse 31, Zurich, Switzerland, 2009–2013

The project idea is based on a handful of primary interventions in the listed building fabric. The breaking up of the cellular office structure generates the desired open and communicative workplace design. A new, bridge-like steel construction connects the longitudinal wings of the building and expands the space available to the existing office space.
