24 000 Baci – Am Rietpark residential complex, Schlieren, Switzerland, 2014–2020
Schlieren, a small town nearby Zurich, is currently building a new residential district with more than 600 apartments! On the former industrial site of the Geistlich company. We know from experience with a variety of our projects such as the James development: address formation and neighbourhood make a decisive contribution to the identity of an emerging residential environment.
Considering the sheer size of the building and the high number of apartments, we chose an acces and circulation system with an opulent room height, a cascade of naturally lit inner streets (rues intérieures), paths and squares. The heart of the building is a spacious hall designed to accommodate communal occasions. On the rooftop, the crowning finale: a swimming pool with sun deck – at the free disposal of the residents!
