Kurlistrasse residential units, Winterthur, 2005–2006
Nine units are housed in two groups: a row of three and a double row of six. The development is a fundamental modification of the terraced housing development whose common typology – the stepping down of entire storeys – Jakob Steib has little regard for. The novelty lies in the intersecting solution with the spatial development of the residential units, which run in the opposite direction to the slope.
